Those who are unhappy enough with LJ to have at least partly moved to IJ, or who wish they could have but didn't want to put up with its flaws, may wish to start following Dreamwidth, which will be going into open beta at the end of the month. I'm seriously considering buying either a paid account or a "seed" account (permanent account), myself.
elfwreck says mo' things mo' betta here, but one thing I think is particularly keen is that they've changed the LiveJournal code to include the "watch/trust" split that so many of us have longed for (separating the functions of "I want to read this person's posts" from "I want this person to have access to my locked posts" that are currently merged in LJ's "friends").
