*squeals with glee at the sight of Severus about to pwn Harry's face* (you can't quite tell in that particular cap, but he's just coolly blocked Harry's spell and knocks him off his feet.)

And lol, of course now the trailer has the wrong date. Nice going guys.

...Well, THAT'S an interesting way to put it...

OOOoh, nice trailer! Yes, they kept in "Fight back, you coward!" I hope they keep in Snape's reaction...

Well, seriously. In the book he basically hands Harry's ass back to him on a platter because Harry is trying to duel out of rage without thinking very much (and also, at this point anyway, Severus is clearly just a better wizard than Harry), and in this little clip he similarly just blocks the spell and knocks Harry flat on his keister. What would you call it?

Oh, no, I know Sev totally wipes the floor (well, ground) with Harry without breaking a sweat. I was just thinking of the line in a completely different context...

Ew. Bukkake imagery not intended.

That screen cap is gorgeous. Harry pwnage aside, the whole look of it just seriously turns me on. Actually, I have to say that as much as Rickman is just not Snape for me, he's really got something amazing going on in HBP. Oh and was I the only one totally squeeing over the whole Katie Bell floating and cursed thing? That was damn creepy. I loved it!

Yes, he has. He looks better here than in some of the earlier movies. I wonder if it was a conscious production choice? In the movie-verse he is weaker overall as a character, and perhaps they thought he should be made more impressive if he was going to be pitted against Harry like this. I.e. perhaps the general audience has the idea that he would seem to be not enough of an enemy otherwise? I don't know quite how to explain what I'm getting at here.

No, I think I see what you are saying. In past movies he has very much been treated almost as an afterthought, and they have styled him accordingly. In this movie his is the Half-Blood Prince. I'm sure they figured they'd better up the ante in the costuming and makeup department. I'm enjoying the trimmer look (a corset or girdle I'll wager). I wonder if Rickman could even breathe in that thing *giggle*.

I didn't even catch that the movie date is wrong now - how delightfully typical of WB! :-)
