(And coming up with something more useful to write than free association ramblings. They're more entertaining than grocery lists, but not, I think, more useful to me as a writer.)

This, too. "Interruption" per se isn't quite the right word for my problem, but close enough. At work I have too many other things I ought to be doing (didn't used to be the case; when I worked supervising public service area, much as I hated it, there was little to do minute to minute and in 2007-2008 that's actually when I wrote most of my fic); at home it's more a problem of privacy than interruption. But overall "lack of opportunity", we could call it.
