Posting from work. When I left on Saturday it looked like a super easy day, and the diary somehow changed yesterday to make it apeshit. Argh! But will try and find myself some time in the midst to read -- because that's what work is for :P
I'm and English and Creative Writing postgrad, so used to going through people's stuff. I do quite a bit of 'originals' editing, it's been yonks since I beta'd fandom, but I think I'm equal to the challenge.
I know what you mean about tying yourself in knots to be understood. It's part of the reason I write short stories. But I'm not bad at untangling things and finding the most direct route from A to B. I don't know you that well, though, and I worry about how blunt I'm allowed to be. My social skills aren't fantabulous and I sometimes come off as harsher than I need to be, particularly over the internet where it's harder to backtrack! So just bare with me, be blunt and give me a smack if I'm being an idiot.
