admitting to fangirlishness
Aug. 1st, 2007 10:50 pmseen in some community where people were posting what shots they could from the OotP film:

O.o
p.s. The icon on this post is of my own make.

It's the first animated icon I've ever made, of any subject. I feel a bit embarrassed about it, actually. But, see, yanno, I am a sucker for just about every theme the character represents (sentiments are DH-compliant, if not agreeing totally therewith), for half his description in text-canon (in film-canon well, duh -- he is essentially a grown up goth boy after all), and, er, well, what's another swooning fangirl when you get down to it, really. (At least 50% of it is Shiny New Toy Syndrome, as
nytemuse put a phrase the other night; I've never so much as poked my nose into HP fandom before. That much, at least, will pass.)
p.p.s. Doing fade-in and fade-out is a pain in the rear. It means every frame turns into nine (with the progression of opacities I chose - more if you want smoother!). I probably missed some ImageReady tool to make this easier, so had to do it by hand (60-90 minutes, including the learning curve for basically never having touched ImageReady in my life and fiddling around with which of my 3482304832 fonts I preferred).
