random memory moment

I don't even remember the original context for this. Possibly it had something to do with the fact that 90% of "us" were techies and wore black and flannel all the time (hey, Nirvana was popular in the early 90s). OTOH I seem to have a tickle that it had something to do with Journalism class and not Drama, but I'm not sure how it would have come up. (Do I still have that t-shirt that proclaims me "Lifitz"?)
In any case, what brings it to mind now is a line from someone's fic disclaimer: "Life is like a box of Bertie Bott's. Sometimes you get chocolate fudge, sometimes you get earwax." (Some of these are really quite amusing -- one person called it an "Anti-Litigation Charm", and another merely said succinctly, "If I owned any of this, would I be writing about it here?")
It occurs to me that since the last time I thought I would put up Lucida 10 as PDFs that my storage space on my host has increased something like two or three, maybe even fivefold (a gigabyte of shared hosting costs a lot less than it used to). Hmmm... (embarrassment ahoy!)
