So it might surprise you to know that I actually do have some WIPs which are kinda, sorta, albeit slowly, really being worked on.
1. A kiriban (a foolish idea; never again, since I can't write on demand) for mybreathingselfagain on deviantArt; I decided to go with her prompt of "a depressing Lily/Snape story (can also be after Lily's death, maybe about him discovering that she had not been so "perfect" after all, that she'd had her flaws too?)" There's no narrative actually written yet, but I do have about 400 words of summary/synopsis written, something about a spell which sends a letter to a dead person.
2. "The Old Black Rum", a Severus/Sirius vaguely hurt/comforty thing loosely inspired by the Great Big Sea song of the same title. I've got about 4000 words of narrative and a further 570 of summary/synopsis for the rest (plus it's missing a beginning section which would probably be another 300-400 words or so).
Other things which I really do intend to get back to, but which have been very dormant:
3. "Lost Causes", which eventually wants to be a Severus/Lily/Regulus. I've actually posted two chapters of that already (Chapter 1, Chapter 2)--another thing I've learned never to do, post WIPs, since it seems to annoy so many people and there's no way I can keep up on anything with regularity--and I have an additional ~2000 words of synopsis of the remainder of the narrative. Also it can possibly lead into a sort sort of Sev/Reg (maybe pre-slash) fragment of ~1700 words I have about Regulus figuring out the deal with the locket Horcrux and asking Severus's help in the matter.
4. I even have a secret author self-insert thing (as those few who have seen it will know) which was up to ~7600 words, but the first chapter of that was written a year and a half ago and at this point I'm not holding out a lot of hope for it. I find it very difficult to write about myself in such an absurd situation.
