You kids from disadvantaged backgrounds? Are you also the pre-selected "good" (now I'm picturing junk mail from Ed McMahon: You may already be a Gryffindor!)? No? Then just give up now; no amount of academic prowess, continuing to protect your young charges who seem to constantly their best to thwart you in this task, going forward with agreements no matter how much the personal consequences for you seem to be getting very ugly, or general badassery will prevent you from getting offed by a big snake. In fact, I bet you don't even have any soul or dignity worth bothering about. (Oh, and that pretty girl who gave you a glimmer of hope when you were ten and who started you on this whole tragic life-path was really just doing you a favour by even looking in your direction.)
But then, you deserved it just for existing, didn't you? At least, that's what I hear from the cool and pretty "good" kids who were perfectly right to pass such judgement. Oh come on, that was just some fun. People like you are there for their amusement anyway. Nobody ever really gets hurt like that. And, I mean, you can always tell who's not worth the wood their wand is made of; it's obvious from the age of eleven. (Hint: people call them the S-word, and they're probably ugly. If they don't look that bad, then well, they might turn out okay in the end, but they'll be losing their hair by that time.)
Worried you might have to change as you grow up, develop empathy and compassion even for people who you don't think are as good as you are, or who have a disability of some kind? Well, worry not! There will probably be a few moments when you'll have a nagging feeling you ought to do something like this, but it's perfectly safe to put that out of your pretty little head.
All those nasty tricks the bad guys pulled, the horrible things that should get you sent to prison for life for the violation they are of another's body and soul? It's perfectly okay for you to do them, because you're the pre-selected good (you may already be a Gryffindor!)!
Here's a tip about gender roles: Women amount to little or nothing if they aren't mothers, and men with feminine traits aren't intriguing and whole, they're losers.
Also, it's okay to constantly cheat on your homework -- hey, make the group's geek do it -- and get out of school having barely learned anything at all.
