Severus/Harry, 6900 words, NC-17. Adelaide Alderton, an accomplished lady of leisure, now retired and in hiding deceased, makes (discreet) mention in her memoirs of two "celebrated" war heroes.

One of the highlights of Snarry Games for me so far. Kind of a strange device: Snarry seen entirely through the eyes of, ah, a lady of a certain age and profession, and written in the form of a manuscript revision full of strikethrough text. But the nudge-nudge-wink-wink tone of our observant and refined voyeur is just wonderful. Choice line:

"You came here, Harry Potter, to fuck Severus Snape. Say. It," Mr Wand ordered. "Say it, or I'll open that door and show you to them like this, hard and desperate and mine. Say it! Tell me you want me. Tell me you came here to—"

"I came here to fuck Severus Snape!"

"And tell me, who am I?" Mr Wand asked, in that chocolate-flowing-over-velvet tone of his of which I had long been fond.

(Man, I am such a sucker for those sorts of phrases when it comes to describing Severus's voice, I tell you. Be as purple or cliched as you like; I won't mind. Chocolate, velvet, brandy, shadows and iron, a caress of black fire over the skin, whatever. It all works for me.)

Come Out of the West by [livejournal.com profile] perfica
Severus/Harry, 8978 words, R. Spending time with an injured man causes a bored Harry Potter to rethink his options in life.

Another great one from Snarry Games. Non-magic AU; Severus is a professor of English, and Harry is an orderly at the hospital he is admitted to when he is injured (St Mungo's, natch). I don't know what to say about this one. It's gentle and paced just right. Contains a lovely 69 scene which ends up in something I liked even better *koff*. And the idea of Harry and Severus watching Red Dwarf together was just so much win. Choice line:

"Shave," Snape said, running a now steady hand over the untidy growth of hair on his chin. "Not only do I look ridiculous, it's starting to itch."

"And you couldn't ask for help?"

Snape sneered. "I had no idea that 'beautician' was listed after 'moronic optimist' and 'trolley boy' in your curriculum vitae. You appear to have hidden depths, Potter.'

The Bad Thing by [livejournal.com profile] softly_sweetly
Severus/Harry, 1400 words, NC-17. Stolen moments taste the sweetest.

This is just a hot and dirty little morsel. Public toilet sex isn't always my thing, but this is so immediate and desperate-feeling.

Napoleon in Three Acts by [livejournal.com profile] snegurochka_lee
Sirius/James, Sirius/Regulus, 5400 words, NC-17. One brother: the one you love above all others. Two brothers: the ones you can never choose between.

I'm late on the bandwagon in reccing this one, but it's worth it. Again I did not have much coherent to say in my review: "Oh my wow. The angry -- and the hot -- and the loyal -- eeee!!" Well, it is hot, and it is an interesting picture of loyalty and power dynamics between brother and brother and friend-who-is-brother.

Severus/Sirius, 11000 words, NC-17. (no summary)

This was my review for this one: "This is great. I like how you've thrust them together (npi) and the theme of Sirius being not full up on sanity points. Oh, and I did I mention the tasty sex? Well, the sex is tasty. [...] At the beginning, that... that is some of the best oral sex I've ever read. Yay for a slow and experimental pace. Yum. So, um. Wow. Severus/Sirius where I believe actual love. I know by a long shot this ship isn't only about hate sex but still, it takes a fine touch to make anything more than grudging affection come out well without falling over into utterly sappy. But hey, you did it! The hate litanies are such a wonderful touch, too."

Well, yeah. That. Ends on an up note, even though it includes the canonical deaths. One of my favourite modes for Snack is when the supposed hate turns out to have been, or gradually turns into, something else, on either or both of their parts, and this hits that spot rather satisfyingly. Choice line:

"Show me yours and I'll show you mine!" Black teased, one evening, as he sat astraddle Severus' chest.

Severus had raised an eyebrow and said, his voice dripping with as much sarcasm as he could muster. "Black, I've seen yours. It's cute and pink and it doubles in size when I lick it."
