art rec: Prince Family Portrait, 1975 (gen, G)

Dudes! You should totally check out the awesome drawing venturous1 made for my drabble Family Obligations: Prince Family Portrait, 1975! She and I were paired up in the snapedom Summer Fest, but I wound up withdrawing due to an excess of suckitude. Still, she went ahead and did this anyway (which was posted as "gift to fest"). I am so taken with everyone's expressions. Severus is clearly not enjoying things (which was the point) and his uncle (Eileen's brother) looks like a serious piece of wizard. Even at this size the little details in his grandmother Prince's eyes are amazing.

Oh, this is just so wonderful. All of it. Every little detail. I'm squeeing right now, especially given our emails on Severus and family yesterday. Lol. Poor Severus just looks so unimpressed.

Severus scowled. Her "little one"? He was taller than she was, now, even though that wasn't saying all that much.

That made me smile.

I gotta stop sending you such long ones, don't I? I was getting used to having one there waiting for me in the morning, and these are so epic they have to wait until after work. Heheh.

I had a hard time coming up with an endearment. I think really his mother just wasn't the type. I think she just called him "Severus" most of the time, even when he was a little lad. She might have said "luv" but probably in the more general sense that word is used, than meaning anything particularly demonstrative of affection.

Yeah, 'luv' sounds about Eileen's speed to me. She doesn't strike me as particularly warm.

I have another epic email response coming, but I can't send it until tonight after work because its saved in Word on my home computer. lol. That should give you an idea of how epic it is.

I don't really mind epic. Epic can be fun!
