Accomplished this weekend: registered for Azkatraz and got hotel room reserved. (Possibly not as necessary to do ASAP as for PantheaCon, for which the very-grown-out-of hotel sold out within a few weeks, but hey. I like certainty.) I bought tickets for HBP on Thursday night but you can't really BART back home at 2 AM, so that means likely staying in the hotel for 5 nights (Thurs - Tues). Husband says "we can do touristy crap in San Francisco since I've never done that" (NB I've lived in the south Bay almost all my life, although he's a recent import from Canada). I figure if we want to change the reservation that's easy enough to do.

Still TBD on whether he's in Slytherin robes and oily black hair. ;) (I'm sensing a lack of resistance since he said "If you wear Ravenclaw robes, you'll need a skirt that certain length...")

PCon: Yeah, last year I phoned up in September and I was still near the end of availability. This year I got a room in July as soon as the con code was in the system. I may be exaggerating to say "a few weeks" as the site says "only very limited rooms now", but hell this is only the 8th of September. (I'm confused by "We have an 85 room block, but will need to share it with a business group. Next year I want to take over the whole hotel" referring to the overflow -- I thought they were planning on moving PCon in 2010.)

Silly me hadn't even stopped to consider hotel rooms and plane tickets. *facepalm* I don't know if I'm gonna be able to pull all that off. But I'm gonna try my hardest! Maybe this should be further inspiration for my job hunt?
