I wondered out loud a while back about what was the deal with drawing Severus as a Lion King lion. Several people opined there was a connection through Jeremy Irons. Well, if so, I think that's not the whole story, because now I've run across fanart of Sirius so drawn, as well as in My Little Pony style, which was the one that really weirded me out when I saw Snape drawn that way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as amused by random crossover art as the next person (Starfleet School of Wizardry, The Matrix Has You, Severus, The New Ministry of Magic, Wizards in Black...), but dood, what gives?

lol. I can't believe the stuff you find on Deviant art. That "The New Ministry of Magic" one was great. Oh, and Snape makes a far superior "Wizard in Black" than Mr. Malfoy, in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure about the rest, but just about everything has been My Little Pony'd. Heck, in many cases, people have altered an actual MLP doll to look like whatever. A few recent ones I've seen are My Little Cthulhu and My Little Predator.

I don't even know what to do with that Sirius-as-a-lion one. I love how the description goes on about his hair length and eyes and how Azkaban changes him and blah blah blah and glosses over the fact that IT'S A LION.

I'm not even going to touch the My Little Pony stuff, which is just... what.

I don't get the My Little Pony thing in general, let alone its application to various HP characters (whether HP Lovecraft or Harry Potter). However, I do know at least one person who is all about MLP in all its various permutations. To which I sort of go, "what."

in my V for Vendetta fandom we had someone making V ponies....
