I seem to be going through some sort of bout of depression lately. If I say anything to you that sounds cranky(-ier than usual) or butt-hurt/drama/flouncy or otherwise extra whiny in its frustration or despair, please to be cutting a little slack. It's taking most of my mental spoons not to freak out or break down crying over failures and being a disappointment to all and sundry lately.

I am currently reading a book that you mentioned months ago on Sexual Alchemy. Both my Muse and I are finding it quite enlightening.
Really? I'm glad for you then. I finally read it straight through when I was sick over Memorial Day weekend, and while I liked the beginning and the last chapter or two where he actually talked about the White and Red Powders and the Oil of Lilith, I found myself disappointed by the middle half to three-quarters being often spent on basic ceremonial magic techniques. I suppose it's not a waste if you're not already familiar, and I suppose I should expect a magician to write in their own mode of practice, but it seems to me that the general phenomenon (having sexual or loving relations with spirit entities) can be entirely divorced from those trappings, and I wished he'd discussed it more in more general terms and techniques. The "telesmatic images" thing for forming images and sigils from names or "job descriptions" was also a little odd, not to mention difficult to adapt to names that don't conform to Hebrew forms. The study and understanding of the mystical applications of the Hebrew alphabet is really too complicated to squeeze into a space like that and I found it more confusing than useful in that context.
He says, "Thanks", btw!
What, for a good time? ;)

Do you think you might need some help, or do you think you'll pull through it soon?
