When I first started posting to Dreamwidth I noticed that Semagic didn't appear to be able to post to it with tags. No big, I just figured that the way DW implemented tags was somehow different from how Semagic was expecting to deal with the data (i.e. some subtle difference from LJ/IJ) and it couldn't support them (although I hoped for a fix in a future version). I had been manually adding the tags to each post after crossposting LJ/IJ/DW via Semagic.
Then, posting from home this weekend, I noticed that magically, the tags had already appeared. I switched from my LJ login to my DW login in Semagic, and presto, where there was previously a blank area under "Picture to use:", now it said "Tags:" as well! (Under this is "Location:", which is only supported on LJ. Semagic just doesn't put the objects there or greys them out if the metadata isn't supported.) Well hey, I thought, maybe it was something on the DW backend that they've now bugfixed, or something.
Alas, it was not to be; at work, though I am using the same version of Semagic (so that's not the cause), I have no tag box and therefore when I crosspost I have to go add the tags.
Is anyone else out there using Semagic to post to DW? I know support isn't going to be perfect but I'm confused as to why it seems to be working as desired in one place and not in another, when I'm not aware of any differences on my end.
