Can someone explain SS/HG to me? I really, really, really don't get it. Exposure has lessened my "age difference + teacher-student dynamic = ew" squick slightly and I can sometimes deal with Snarry or Snaco, for example. But Hermione? That's just all kinds of No. It's such a popular ship, but what is the deal? Is it just that I don't like Hermione? (I don't.) Is that my mental block?

(It's kind of a shame, as it closes off a whole arena of perfectly good Snape to me to not be able to stomach this.)
