Rushing off to vote for Severus again. Though, I'm not sure which feeling is stronger, really: the desire to vote AGAINST Ron, who I despise, or vote for Snape.

I wouldn't say I despise Ron, although I don't like him. "Despise" is reserved for people like Umbridge. But it's definitely no contest for me, just as it was with Ron vs Sirius and Severus vs Hermione. I don't like Hermione or Ron.

It reminds me of a Potterdelphia meeting where I asked, "Which character is the 'Silver Doe' chapter about?" Half the table said Snape, the other half said Ron, and we all looked at each other like "you're crazy."

Literally, by beating Hagrid, Fred, Oliver, and Lavender. I actually don't find that progression all that surprising. I suppose in terms of the overall fandom, him being a more central character than Sirius was going to work in his favor there (although I don't like Ron myself).
