I think Benedict Cumberbatch looks like some kind of weird alien* and I do not find him attractive at all. To each her own, of course, but I just don't get it.

See my above choice of comparison shot in Oblivion - that's one of the high elves in the game. However his face doesn't really read "elvish" to me either (as I said above in my comment to dancinglights, for which he'd need to be more feminine and ethereal, I think. So he's stuck in this "ack weird" place in my eyes.
