So has anyone out there looked at the redone Pottermore yet? I... I dunno. I mean, not that it didn't have its flaws the way it was, but the change is so drastic, seems like less of an "experience". And the multiple images per page moving in that slightly weird, sorta 3-D way kind of gives me a headache in a way the single multi-plane thing they used to have going on did not.

It looks more...bloggy. Less experience-y. Like they are going to tell us things rather than let us do things. It's very pretty but more top-down and one-directional.

Yeah, or not even like tell us things, but coyly say "Well, there are things there to find!" without even hanging it on any particular framework. I really didn't even know what to click or where to start.

I didn't like the old Pottermore because it was irritating to have to jump through hoops for more material, but now that I have somewhat direct access to new material, I remain unimpressed. The quality of the "extras" (I don't consider anything outside of the books to be true canon) is piss poor; it all seems dashed off and "afterthought-y." :(

I quite agree with you about having to jump through hoops. Reminds me of the giant pain it was to get to the extras on the first few HP movie DVDs, IIRC. It's maybe fun to play a DVD remote game once, but having to do it over and over, ugh. I find the new site actually even harder to navigate, though; I'm not sure where to go or what to click for any given topic.
