Pre-ordering OotP DVD from Amazon is evil Y/N?

Usually I try to avoid Amazon unless alternatives are really a huge pain in the arse. f. ex., I still don't own a copy of DH because I've been waiting for a ~$10-15 copy on half.com from some independent/secondhand seller, and not been checking terribly obsessively since our library owns a copy and I've checked it out three times already since July 24th when it was first processed. erm.

Speaking of things our library owns, Jim Dale (US ed. reader) is fine I'm sure, but I really want to hear Stephen Fry (UK ed. reader). After all, he's the latter-day voice of the Guide! (Much love to Peter Jones, though.)

when does it come out in stores? Like Walmart is also evil, but also cheap, and I can scuttle home and watch it right then. Which might not hurt my Snape fics at all.

Thanks btw for the rec of quid pro quo. I hate the idea of Snarry, but -- damn. Great voices.

**Ven shamelessly bows down to the preorder goddess**
True fans cast aside their independent bookstore values when there is droolworthy fare dangled in front of us.

oooo, much love for Stephen Fry, since his Gordon role in V for Vendetta. Before I knew there WAS slash, I loved his subtext crush on the swashbuckling V.

Have you seen or heard of his current series? Absolute Power? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386149/

Smart, funny, wicked about a PR firm that will do anything. Saw it on the plane back from London.

I grabbed the UK OOTP which was just released!

What's wrong with Amazon?
