arcanetrivia: a light purple swirl on a darker purple background (severus humour (not greasy))

Me: So, Severus-storyteller, tell me: if you were in this situation [warning: NWS art], how would you react? *poised to take dictation from the muse*

Severus: *pauses thoughtfully* Well, I would say "I'd have a mental breakdown," except for the small fact that if I did find myself in that situation, it could only be because I'd already had one.

Me: THAT DOESN'T HELP ME WRITE A STORY KTHX. ... ya jerk.

...Me: *tries to work that line in anyway*

(I suppose I could try to write a story where Severus had gone insane well before events resulted in the tableau seen there, but that seems way too long and involved, and a rather too weird interpretation of the picture.)

*Backs away from the Snarry, because I absolutely can't stand it as a pairing* The artwork is gorgeous, though. Especially the fire; it's stunning.

I think the other poster was right - drugs, or a nightmare/really weird dream brought on by drugs.

Or you could actually try for a more serious in tone fic.

Hmm ... AU ish idea. Maybe the healers give Severus some really extra-strength stuff while he's at St. Mungo's recovering from Nagini's bite?

You know, the problem with taking a humorous tone with this is that (according to the artist's notes) this is an expression of her religion, and while you're writing the fic for another person, since it's inspired by this artist's art, she's going to check it out (I know I would) and she *might* get offended at a humorous interpretation. I don't know the artist, so I don't know if that would happen, but that would be one of my concerns. You could always ask her if she minds you interpreting it humorously, though. (Just thought I'd point that out in hopes of avoiding any possible wankage.)

Ahh, okay, I didn't understand. And if you know the artist, then that's fine. I tend to catastrophize.

If none of the art is doing it for you, maybe you could ask her for a 4th choice. Would the mods allow that?
