Apparently they've cast someone as Mrs Granger for DH. The "I changed their names and sent them to Australia" business is not "on screen" in the book, so this could be interesting. I wonder if they'll cast a Mr Granger. I wonder if the buggers will have names, even if only in the script. (Yii.)

(Am now picturing their notional shingle: "Granger & Granger" with a picture of a molar. lol.)

hmm. Michelle Fairley? I assume that Tom Knight and Heather Bleasdale who played Mr and Mrs Granger in CoS weren't available. Oity as they remain my picture of Hermione's parents.

I am still annoyed that, having been left on the cutting room floor in CoS we are still going to be deprived of Mr Bourgin in HBP.

Well, I thought so - but Bourgin's not on the IMDB cast list.

It does look as though the screen adaptations of HBP and DH are going to differ significantly from the books - and not necessarily in good ways. It also looks as though Yates is so determined (a) to save money and (b) to put his own style on the films that he's forgotten the audience.

I'm just thrilled that apparantly they are going to make DH. There was some speculation that they wouldn't.

Michelle Fairley looks quite pretty.

Given how Harry and Hermione were portayed more sympathetically in the OoTP movie than in the OoTP book, it doesn't surprise me that Hermione's Obliviating her parents' memories isn't in the 7th movie.

Am now picturing their notional shingle: "Granger & Granger" with a picture of a molar.

*laughs*

Yes, that's what I thought when I read this, too. In DH, alot of the action is talked about after the fact, so it makes sense that some of it would have to be shown.

They might still have Bourgin. I believe the original Bourgin scene was filmed for CoS and it's an extra on the DVD.
