I just saw a summary on FFN that mentioned Harry's godmother coming to fetch him when Sirius died. Obviously this is an OC and no such person is mentioned in canon, but it's an interesting idea; godparents usually come in pairs. Who do you think might have been Harry's godmother, if anyone?

Actually there a quite a number of them, iirc. However, those tend to be AU fics or Snape-saves-Harry and/or mentor fics. Sorry I can't think of any by title atm.

Me neither. I mean, I'm familiar with Snape-saves-Harry-from-the-Dursleys, but I don't think I've seen one where he did so because he was a second godfather. (Is that usual, anyway, to have more than one godparent of the same sex?)

I would think that just as the occasional woman has a male "maid of honor", I could imagine there might be two godmothers or two godfathers.
