Yes, but since it transpired that there was no blackcurrant liqueur at the local store (except fancy $28 stuff I wasn't going to shell out for for what amounts to "gag gift" purposes -- they must have got cleaned out for New Year's and haven't restocked), I'll have to stick with just the cider. It's part of an increasingly alcoholic series - Bad Elf (pale ale), Very Bad Elf (ale), Seriously Bad Elf (double ale), Criminally Bad Elf (barleywine), and Insanely Bad Elf (ditto, about 1% more alcohol than the last). Damn them! I agree, $28 is way too much. I've always just used cheapo blackcurrant cordial, trusting the cider and lager to provide the alcohol content. Can you use something like that? :)
