Wouldn't it have been faster to start from scratch, rather than disassembling an existing character and putting him back together all backwards and upside-down?

I know this person means well (paraphrase from their a/n: "Lots of fic with this crossover sucks, so I thought instead of complaining I'd do better"), and the fic actually looks very well-written (English-wise; I'm no authority on the DC universe), but I just can't help picturing this when I read this summary:
