Please to fix it so that when I leave a comment on a chapter of a fic, it doesn't return me to the first chapter of that fic afterwards. It should return me to the chapter I was reading when I left the comment.

Huh, I hadn't noticed that before. I suppose I've never left a comment mid-way through before. Oh, the fun of being a beta tester. Interesting catch—I'm sure they're glad to hear about it.

I haven't actually tried to point this out to any official staff, mainly because I don't know a good channel for doing so. Is there a specific procedure for submitting a "bug report"?

Yep—the archive is still in beta, so if you scroll down to the bottom of any page, you'll see both "Support and Feedback" and "Known Issues." Looking at the Known Issues page, it seems that they're aware of the situation:

Occasionally after commenting or leaving kudos on a chapter users will be booted back to the first chapter or full work, depending on the preferences set.

So it should be on the to-fix list.

Ah, OK. (Although I wouldn't describe it as "occasionally"; rather, 100% of the time, I'm always sent back to the first chapter. This has annoyed me since I began reading at the archive some months ago.)
