Pottermore

Ok, so, clue 5 is open right now. And unless the Order moved from number 12, Grimmauld Place to some other house number, I'm sure I have the right numerical answer. But when I plug it in to the URL like you're supposed to I just get redirected to the Scholastic website. Am I missing something? Or is this maybe like the second question on the "Insider" page:

I solved the clue for Day 4 but I couldn't find The Magical Quill. What happened?
Due to huge demand today, not everyone who solved the Day 4 clue was able to find The Magical Quill. To ensure no one missed out on the chance to register for early access to Pottermore, we decided to direct people who successfully solved the clue straight to the Pottermore registration page, where they were able to register as normal.

Do I just need coffee?

eta: Too late now, it's closed again. I would be interested to hear from those who have successfully registered, though, what they saw or did next when they entered the solution address.

Same problem. This is the FIRST chance I've had to register, and I can't find it. I feel like such an idiot, having clicked everything on that page at least 5 times (and everything on the subsequent pages probably 3 times, even played all those stupid little games....) >_

aaand registration's now closed. What a gyp. >:( Bet you anything that the next two registration periods will be happening while I'm at work tomorrow and Saturday........

Well, congrats to the people who got in....

That happened to me the day I got in. I got redirected to the partner site, but couldn't find the quill. Fortunately I was watching the Pottermore tag on Tumblr and someone posted the direct link to registration, which allowed me to bypass finding the quill (Mugglenet did the same thing on day 1, but I haven't seen them do it since). You might want to try watching that tag tomorrow, people post the registration link within minutes of the clue opening up, usually. I'd give it to you, but I think it changes every day.

Apparently today, the quill was hidden in the ad up at the top of the page.

oh yeah, never thought about that! 0_o

Yeah, I figured that out too after someone told me they found it in a banner ad. -_- So I got online today with IE when I heard they'd just opened for registration (seriously 5 minutes before I had to leave for work! LUCKY!!), and solved the clue, and nabbed my quill and rego.

Still, WTF, pottermore?? >:( Y U hatin on the people who don't like ADS?

This happened to me. I have Firefox, which blocks ads, and right at the last moment, someone told me to access Pottermore using IE, and that solved the problem. I was furious - it is a pain, but using Internet Explorer worked for me. Good luck tomorrow. I was being such a biatch about it, and got through and feel even more silly about it. Geez, you'd think I was about 10 the way I was nattering on.
