I think I need to not be trying to write right now.

Searching for something slightly more witty than "he would rather die than _____", my brain has just served up the following phrase with a smile, as though what on earth could possibly be wrong with it?

No, that would be fine! It was just a phrase that didn't really work in the situation, a little too silly for the situation. I think it was trying to one-up itself after supplying "The Royal Society of Things Sirius Wants to Hear from Severus Snape", which was great and which I kept.

That's pretty clever, I think, though gross to actually think about. It's the type of phrase that would work if used once in a story, in the right place.

On a side note, I've been getting a strange urge lately to do a search of ff.net for the word "Slytherine", after getting an old Bush song (http://www.lyrics007.com/Bush%20Lyrics/Glycerine%20Lyrics.html) stuck in my head.
