Me = has been working on hp_crackdealers. It's amazing how much time even a few tweaks can take (wow) and how much time it's possible to waste on creating banner art and suchlike.

So rockerchica826 and I are in pre-production, you might say, for actually making something out of hp_crackdealers. The tentative schedule right now is to open for prompts later this week or early next week, close prompting in late November, and post beginning mid-January or so. Would anyone be interested in doing any icons or banner art for the comm? I, er, shall we be generous, do not draw, and I wouldn't know where to begin on trying to Photoshop something.

rockerchica826 and I are looking into actually doing a crack!fic fest or exchange at hp_crackdealers (IJ folks, NB that I am not the mod for the IJ version; I didn't even know it existed until I decided to check when making this post. I've mailed nishizono to ask for that one too). She has proposed a prompt-claim-style fest which isn't something I've done before. How long does one usually allow for prompt submissions? A month sounds like a long time to me, but I don't have much to go on. (When I read fests like that I never pay attention to the timeline because I am only interested in the results.)

Does anyone remember where that journal or community was that was trying to be a master directory of active fests, so as to help people planning a fest or exchange from tripping over each other with dates and themes and all that? I am pondering whether to try to actually do something with hp_crackdealers, having taken it off I think it was nishizono's hands, but I have a sinking feeling that the docket is pretty full already.
