Quibbles about why companions these days must always be 21st century women (although I suppose that's not confirmed yet) aside, Iiiii may already love Bill in a way I never really did Clara. I dunno. It just feels like in a few seconds of screentime I've already made some kind of emotional connection to her that was hard for me to do with Clara. (I liked Oswin and governess Clara was also good, but as a whole... meh.) IDK. There's just something about her that excites me a bit, where Clara did not...?
