No worries; I love much fristing time. I know it's not popular, but once I got into it, I couldn't stop. People who hate much fristing time are really missing out, I think.

bah. gah. hah. sha. well, see here.. wait "what happened to your hair?"

It was ruffled by excessive singing warmup exercises. All that "ba, ga, ha, sha" stuff really exacerbates the frizz.

(This fic is actually kind of clever in its daisy-chain chapter structure and is decently written; I was just amused by the summary.)

Severus Snape is one sexy man.'Whatever will Harry do about his predicament?

Omigosh! Just think what trouble he would be in if Severus were two sexy men!

...I think I read a porno like that once. In fact, I know I did. He got trapped with a duplicate of himself in his own bathtub-sized cauldron and naughtiness and snark ensued. It was great.

[livejournal.com profile] wikdsushi's "Toil and Trouble"

Er...I think it must say something about the immorality of my fandom habits that not only have I read the crazy porn fic you're talking about but I know exactly what fic it is.

Oh yes, I've read that - very, very amusing (ok, and hawt. I think I've had a dream involving more than one of him...oh wait, oversharing?)

It's not like it happens often (ok, can I whine about any amount being not often enough? yeah? good!), only a couple of times total...but this particular time was, indeed, some point probably fairly shortly after reading that fic although I do not recall the timing exactly. It was Messed Up. :D Not that I complained after I awoke (apart from complaining of the waking). :P

I see after some tag-digging that you don't like Severus/Hermione much... otherwise I'd reccommend An Army of Snapes (http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=9458) by ladyofthemasque. There are, well, a whole lot of sexy Snapes in it. At least a dozen. And it is very porny.

(I used to read a lot more SS/HG than I do nowadays... now it's kinda 'meh' for me. It was more interesting back before HBP came out, in my opinion.)

Yeah... even while I was totally obsessed with SS/HG, I couldn't figure out why I liked it. :P

I just found all of the different Snapes with slightly different facets of his personality entirely too effing amusing for words, I don't think it would have mattered (to a certain extent) who the second half of the pairing was after the hilarity ensued. :P

Haha, I was more SRS BSNS about the whole thing. Possibly I would be amused by it these days, but I have very little patience when it comes to fanfic anymore.

The incredibly unlikely plots used to get them together were always amusing, though. Marriage Law Challenge, anyone? (Bleargh.)

[identity profile] wings-on-water.livejournal.com 2008-03-06 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I found that really anything you could do to get Hermione and Snape together had to be stretching at least one part of canon a whooole lot. (And how I loathed those fics that made Harry and Ron idiotic lumps so Hermione didn't have to deal with them. Or killed Ron, or made him abusive. Or a womanizer who didn't actually care about Hermione anyway. I never did figure out how anybody came to that conclusion... maybe those were fics written early on in the series.)

I think the main reason I've gotten away from fanfic is that I've become a canon nazi. Somehow or other, now that JKR's given us the canon pairings and ending and all (whether I approve or not), I just don't really care to read anything else. But I do agree about plausibility... that's what makes really good fanfic good. I adore fic that explores some overlooked aspect of canon so well that you think it's better than JKR could have possibly written it.

Also, I think my taste got a bit more, er, refined over the years I read fic... Heck, I used to review every fic I read, even the most horrible dreck on ff.net, and I thought the Draco trilogy was awesome. Not so much, anymore. ; )

Ah, well, sometimes I'm willing to forsake reason for amusement - I think it must come from too much time spent around academics. ROFL
